I'm a little over three months late to this party, but I finally made it nonetheless. Cedric Charlier's 2014 Resort collection boasts multicolored knits, sculpted tops, and prints that have an organic nature, much like street art or graffiti; with prints that are bold without feeling forced. These garments could all stand alone as statement pieces, yet they also have an ease and versatility to them, making them all very practical. It's no surprise that Charlier, who hails from Belgium and has worked at Celine, Lanvin and Cacharel, is at the cusp of his own cutting edge label. By designing in a "sophisticated but subversive way" I'd imagine he captures a large customer base through his futuristic yet feminine pieces, which can be found at Barneys, Shopbop, and Avenue 32.
