Blown up editorialized shots gleamed across the walls, as lights danced throughout the room highlighting the pieces few by few. Eccentrico, a display of pieces from both Giorgio Armani, and Giorgio Armani Privé showed Armani's experimentation throughout the years with shape, materials and texture. The nature of the exhibit was what stood out to me. Set at Pier 57, there were no signs or any indication of the exhibit, just a large black covering of the Piers' outside, with a short dark hall to get to the entrance. The esoteric sense added to the experience, setting it apart from other fashion exhibits I've seen.

Pleating and beading and organza and more.
Beetlejuice, Michael Jackson... I don't know but this spurred a soliloquy of it's own.

The only time I have ever said, "I want this to be my wedding vail"

Alas, Finals Month is finally over aka dancing around in my empty dorm room to Atomic Kitten like Lizzie McGuire circa 2003 - sadly I'm not going to Europe like she did, just Texas.

Any who we'll go back to the beginning of May and catch up on all the things I meant to write about...

Vintage doodilydoos - sometimes jewelry is better with age, the cuffs are smaller, the necklaces more ornate, and you won't risk the "did you get that from Forever 21?" Not that theres anything wrong with Forever 21, vintage gems just offer that certain aura of uniqueness.
Thus far my favorite vintage excursions in the city take place at the Antique/Vintage sales in the parking garage on 25th between 6th and 7th. It's a good time, promise.

I was almost as excited at The Great Gatsby premier as Jenna Lyons was.
The movie in general lived up to my expectations too which was nice, the only disconnect that bothered me was some of the music seemed ill fitting for the scenes.

The Met Gala - really just made me want to invest in a quality zoom lens and an extra camera battery.

A few months ago I mentioned Wang running, however I don't recall stating that we were running with Wang himself.

(PS. If you can't tell this is photoshopped... I don't know about you)

New York, you've been so good to me. Until August,
Now onto Resort...

Are the horses coming? Well certainly not in Manhattan.
But seeing as the next four days have forecasted mid seventies... Can you say island living?
Either way Florence was right.
 Snapbacks  No. just snaps.

I wore this outfit a week ago to a user-feedback session at Refinery 29, and then over to the Erickson Beamon sample sale at Showroom Seven. It was a nicer than average day, the spirit in the air, the pep in my step, along with my red tights and pleated skirt left me feeling a bit like Blair Waldorf; As I am still mourning the shows dreadful end, and still have yet to fully recover from there termination.

On another note, this is me standing by the pseudo Empire State building in Chelsea.

Jacket made by myself circa 2013, Trouve sweater from Nordstrom, Topshop pleated skirt, Vera Vera Wang red tights, Forever 21 Glitter oxfords, Anthropologie necklace.
 No socks, no laces. YOLO.
Whether this once held bird seed and nourished the pigeons inhabiting Chelsea, or if this was for sole decoration we may never know.
What could be more inspiring than this Garden of Inspiration? Flourishing with greenery and life.
